Kartoza and LandInfoTech (LiT) developed on online, streamlined CMMS system using FOSS technologies for municpal asset lifecycle management.
Description
MyCivitas: An affordable, user friendly asset management platform for small communities. MyCivitas is an all-inclusive, easy to use platform that lets you record and manage your assets in one powerful information system. Kartoza has partnered with LandInfoTech (LiT) to develop on online, streamlined CMMS system using FOSS technologies. LiT have been developing their CMMS business in small municipalities in Canada for many years using QGIS and Excel. Kartoza helped them to migrate their manual workflows to a modern web platform based on Django, PostGIS and MVT (Mapbox Vector Tiles) on the back-end to provide an optimised and responsive platform. Key features of the platform include:
- Simplified asset capture process suitable for small communities without a large dedicated engineering team.
 - Sophisticated but simple asset lifecycle budget planning tools that let communities quick understand how to prioritise their budgets in order to maintain critical infrastructure.
 - A ticket / works management system for planning and managing scheduled and ad-hoc management activities.

Recently we have also added a cemetry management module for mapping grave sites and memorial walls.
